Birds may eat all they want. Avoid waste and selective eating. Amounts will vary depending on birds' energy needs. For example, amounts should be increased for birds that are young, active, cold or approaching breeding. Feed fresh food daily, with separate access to water to prevent dunking.
It is NOT necessary or recommended to supplement with vitamins or other bird or animal food products. Restrict any supplemented certified organic fruit and vegetables to dark yellow meaty or dark green leafy items such as sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, winter squash, broccoli, parsley, spinach, mango or papaya.
